★EXCLUSIVE UNIT WITH NO AIRBNB SERVICE FEE★ Brand-new apartment located on one of the most beautiful streets in the whole city - the Cali River Boulevard. Walking distance to all the fun. There's honestly no better place to get a feel for the local culture. The unit consists of a kitchen / living room, bedroom, bathroom and private balcony overlooking the river and mountains. It comes with hot water, WiFi, SmartTV and elevator. This old building is called 'Magusan' and has been completely renovated while still preserving part of the old charm. The apartment is located on the 2nd floor. We saved the old elevator which works perfectly fine, so no need to climb the stairs. The kitchen comes with a dining table and sofa. It is stocked with the basics needed to prepare a meal. Pots, pans, silverware, plates, cups, glasses, utensils, blender, microwave, coffee maker, sponges and dish soap are all available. The bedroom includes a nice queen size bed, blackout curtains, air conditioning, desk for working and 50" smartTV that connects to all your favorite streaming apps (no local cable package). It has straight access to the balcony. The bathroom has towels, a floor mat, hair dryer, toilet paper, make up removal pads + shampoo, conditioner and body soap. There is unlimited hot water from the electric heater.

Wow talk about a really great location! A little bit burdensome when you first come in and when you check out because there aren’t any roads that go right to it. The hot water is great but you really have to play with the setting on the shower valve to get it just right and the water pressure is very light so don’t expect a cascade of hot water to come down on you while taking a shower. Other than the small things I mentioned, this place is great, well organized and quiet. Although right in the heart of the riverfront activities that happen there every weekend, you will hear none of it. There are so many places that are walking distance that you will definitely not get bored during a weekend stay there. Iglesia Ermita, un centro commercial, muchas opciones por comidas…. Y más. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would highly recommend for a nice weekend getaway for a single person or a couple.

Located right on the river boulevard by the historic Cali downtown, it's hard to think of a more emblematic and central location in the whole city. The area is full of little restaurants and bars. The restaurant on the first floor of the building - Tierra de Todos - serve what is arguably the best burger in the whole city!
On one side you have the financial district mixed with all the old beautiful buildings. At the end of the boulevard, two blocks down, you'll find La Pergola Clandestina - one of the top 100 night clubs in the world.
5 minutes walk across the river you'll find the Centenario Shopping center and and 5 minutes more will take you to the Granada entertainment district.
In the other direction towards the hotel Intercontinental, you'll find the El Peñon and colonial San Antonio neighborhoods. Both are tourist favorites and packed with dining options, including some cocktail bars, artisanal ice cream, good coffee shops, etc.
Plaza Caicedo is only a few blocks away.
Please note that part of the river boulevard turns into an after work street party, especially on Friday afternoons. So if you're sensitive noise and fun then best to choice another location. But there's honestly no better place to get a feel for the local culture.
During the day, I suggest walking wherever possible. Enjoy the warm, eternal summer climate. Get to know the city. Explore!
If you're going further, then there are more than 20.000 taxis in Cali and they are very affordable. Minimum fare starts at 4.000 pesos. Uber, Cabify, Beat, WayCali and Didi are other similar services. Busses are plentiful but then to get very crowded.
At night, best to use a taxi / Uber / Didi.

Back in 2010 I left my home country of Denmark to pursue a lifelong dream: To travel on a motorcycle from the United States to Brazil. And what an adventure it became… I ended up riding 54.000 km through 18 countries during that 15-month trip. I made friends all over Latin America. But one of those amazing friendships turned into a flirt and 2 years after finishing my trip I ended up moving to Colombia to begin a new chapter of my life. Today, after living in Cali for more than 7 years, I’m happily married and have two beautiful little daughters. Real estate investing has been my trade since arriving here. With my team, we have built and operated more than 54 units for short-term rentals with different investors, and we pride ourselves on having the highest quality units on the local market. I left my old partnership with Lifeafar and am currently developing new buildings on my own. I run the daily operation with my partner Harold via our management company EXSTR. Harold worked 8 years at a Marriott property in New York and breathes guest service.
