Welcome to Casa Azul, this vibrant mid-century loft style apartment is centrally located in Little Village, one of the most vibrant Mexican-American communities and thriving shopping district in Chicago. Our community is known for its colorful murals and hundreds of Latinx-owned businesses and restaurants. We are just 4 mile away from downtown & Midway airport, and 3 miles away from Pilsen & UIC, with public transportation right outside your door making it easy to plan your visit. This 15ft foot ceiling apartment located on the second floor was recently renovated and designed to is current beauty. Intertwining my passion for my Mexican culture and my ongoing love with mid-century furniture I was able to bring this beauty to life. This is one of two listing for this apartment, this listing offers two bedrooms where your family can spread out comfortably, the bedrooms have ski lights to star watch at night and be filled with morning light, a master suite with a king bed and a work space just in case, and a bedroom with a queen size bed. The loft apartment has open concept living room, dinning room and kitchen making it super comfortable for the family to hang out, play some board games, turn on the record player and enjoy some of my music collection or enjoy a movie in the super comfy couches with plenty of seating for your group. The bathroom is spacious and with an extra large vanity for getting ready. We have stocked up the bathroom with toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and make up remover wipes for my ladies and gents that use make up... please be kind to my towels in return I have left you a hair dryer, a curling iron, and flat iron. See It pays to be good ;) The kitchen is stocked up with all the utensils you might need to prepare a great home meal from a molcajete to make a good Mexican salsa or a pizza pan to create your own Chicago style pizza. In the kitchen you will find enough spices and olive oil to start your meal, and no worries there is coffee and tea for those that need a wake me up in the a.m. There is plenty of champagne flutes, and a bottle of champagne waiting for you, no need for a particular celebration, the mere fact that you're on vacation with your family or friends is enough to have a toast. You can confortably spread out in our dinning room, and if you are mad at any of those family members you can always sit them at the kitchen island. I won't judge😉 I'm a lover of art, you will see it not only in the painting that you'll find all around the house, but I see this entire place as my work of art. So I hope that with respect and love you get to create amazing memories with your loved ones and enjoy this place as much as I did bringing it to life.
We loved this home so much, it became a part of our itinerary! We loved cooking in the beautiful kitchen and relaxing in the gorgeously inviting living room. The decor was on point, beds were comfortable, bathroom clean and pristine! Do not hesitate to book!!
Our anniversary stay at Janet's home was yes, one for the books! Janet was so thoughtful and kind to welcome us with a bottle of champagne and a nice Anniversary gift which we will keep in our little treasure box. Janet's place had everything so clean, especially the linen which is a big thing for us. The bed was so comfortable and cozy. The whole place was tidy, clean and spacious. Our stay was on a very cold day and we definitely appreciate having the basics such as water, coffee and cinnamon sticks which is the way I make my coffee back at home. I had never been to an airbnb that had everything I needed, curling iron, steamer, and all I needed to cook a warm meal for my husband and I. I recommend Janet's place to anyone who is visiting Chicago, whether its a small or large party. This place is great to host family from out of town because everyone can gather in one big opened space (the kitchen, dinning room and living room). Janet, thank you for the your attentiveness. Best of Luk

I'm a lover of art and live in full color. I love interior design and vintage finds and I love mixing them both with the vibrant colors in my culture. I was born in Mexico and transplanted to the windy city when I was ten. Life took me to L.A over two decades ago, yet I still call Chicago home, so much so that I got this place to come home to and now for you to enjoy.
