OLD TOWN (STARE MIASTO) Walking the streets of the Old and New Towns allows you to rest from the the bustle of central city life. Atmospheric alleys, squares, and cosy cafés create a unique sense of history, and in the summer, the Old and New Town Squares become stages for musical and theatrical performances and open-air galleries.
The Old Town is the historic centre and oldest part of the city, it is also a living, breathing cultural salon. Founded in the 13th century as the prince's castle, it is surrounded by walls.
During World War II, 90% of it was destroyed, but thanks to its excellent restoration and recovery, in 1980 it was granted the status of a UNESCO World Heritage List.
Currently, it is a lively place, bustling with tourists and locals, and full of galleries, cafés and restaurants.
There are many restaurants, cafes and bars in the neighborhood. The Old Town area is a cluster of different tastes, smells and cultures.
As well as many restaurants serving typical Polish cuisine, you can find a wide selection of international offerings.

Warsaw is actually pretty easy to get around and has a good traditional public transport services with buses, trams and the Metro and also benefits from the Veturilo bicycle hire service offering low cost bike rental throughout the city. Also TAXIS/Uber/Bolt/FreeNow are generally cheap and plentiful and you can order them directly through relevant Applications.
BUS - the nearest bus OLD TOWN, approximately 400 meters from the apartment. Bus stop PLAC ZAMKOWY a distance of about 500 meters. Access to the bus stop is 4 minutes, and the ride to the center 10 minutes.
TRAM - the nearest tram stop STARE MIASTO is 400 meters from the apartment.
UNDERGROUND - station RATUSZ ARSENAL, 10 minutes walking distance.
TAXI - the nearest pick up point is at Podwale street no 11, 5 minutes walking distance.
BIKE - a system of bikes Veturilo, the nearest station Bicycle is at Miodowa street, about 500 meters from the apartment.
For guests with cars we recommend parking in the streets surrounding the Old Town.
