We loved our stay! The view is spectacular! The new owners had just gotten new furnishings which are nice quality although they have a few things left to complete. The beds and linens were comfortable, good showers, fully stocked kitchen and grill that met our needs. Sonos surround sound speakers with large TV was a nice plus! The unit is very quiet although you can hear your neighbors occasionally. There were a couple minor repair issues that arose during our stay, but owner had both fixed within the same day and it was not an inconvenience. Very quick response. The beaches at the resort are amazing and the unit overlooks the small beach. Even tho it was mid-June, the place was practically empty and we often had the beach almost to ourselves. We snorkeled with the turtles each day, but it’s best to go in very early morning before all the dive boats begin arriving. We would love to come back here if price remains reasonable. Highly recommend! You won’t regret staying here!

The condo is very well stocked. Everything feels new. The view from the living area and deck are amazing. The pool and hot tub area all look recently remodeled and gorgeous. There is fantastic snorkeling and easy entry/exit at the main beach area, literally where the snorkel tours take people. We loved this place.

Aloha! My husband and I truly enjoyed our recent condo stay at Makena Surf: Maui on the Beach! Our host, Brian, was exceptionally helpful with sharing info about the local area and made himself available for any questions we had before and during our stay. The view from the condo was outstanding which led to a lovely, tranquil vibe! We left before the new furniture arrived, so we’d love to see updated pics on the website with the new furniture in place as it will definitely elevate the unit. Maholo!!

We loved our time here! The unit was clean and comfortable, and everything was as described. (There were new linens not reflected in photos and I believe plans to replace some of the furnishings). Kitchen had everything we needed. Makena Surf has lovely amenities including pool, pickleball, and beach access. The views were incredible - we spent so much time just sitting outside, spotting whales, watching paddleboarders, kayaks, sailboats, etc., as well as spectacular sunsets. We really appreciated the snorkel masks (rented fins from Snorkel Bobs down the road), beach chairs and umbrella, and our kids had a blast with the boogie boards. Overall a wonderful property!

Brian and Johnny were absolutely great from start to finish. From my first inquiry to resolving a minor hiccup, they were super responsive, friendly, and helpful. We've stayed at many units at the Makena Surf, so I was familiar with the complex and location. We hadn't been back since before the pandemic, and it was lovely to return. The unit has everything you need - as noted in the listing this property is new to Vacation Hospitality and they are planning some updates, but everything is clean and works as expected. The kitchen has all the basics and everything you need for a beach vacation. Of course, the location is everything, and it does not disappoint. This unit overlooks the smaller beach (often called Chang's Beach), and if you snorkel the rocky outcropping that separates the two beach you'll enjoy world-class snorkeling (in fact, the snorkel tours tend to pop in and out at this location; it's that good. Looking forward to rebooking as soon as humanly possible. thanks!
