My fiancé and I had such an amazing time at the river house! The communication between Priscilla and Priscilla’s team was excellent! Will and I had our engagement shoot on Sunday at Oxbow Estate and decided to make a mini trip out of it by staying at the river house. It was so cozy, peaceful, and pet friendly too! Small details like the s’mores tray, the record player (p.s I was playing t-swift on repeat), and the polaroid camera was the cutest! Overall, the river house was such a great stay! Plus, the scenery on our morning walk with our pups was beyond beautiful! Cannot recommended it enough!

I visited for just a handful of days, solo traveling with my dog. Words and pictures do not do this beautiful space and property justice. It is opulent, magical, and peaceful beyond your wildest dreams! Open the French casement windows so you can listen to the river right below and greet the birds in the trees just a little more than an arms length away! Take a bubble bath bath in the luxurious tub while staring above at the beautiful chandelier! Have a fire in the massive stone fireplace or fire pit! Step outside and explore the grounds like you've been transported in time to yesteryear on an old bronze age family estate with all modern and impeccable conveniences and design! 50 ft to the left of the River House, you will see an indentation, and if you follow it down, it'll take you to rocks you can sit on and watch the river and the day float on by. This is out of a dream, and I feel so lucky and blessed to have been able to stay somewhere like this. Thank you SO much, Priscilla!

The River House was a gem! It was so charming with extremely high ceilings, intricate fireplace, & many dimmable lighting options throughout. The location was close to town but very private, tucked away on a large estate. I stayed 3 nights for a solo trip and loved the privacy. I caught the morning fog out the front door in the open field (even spotting deer) and view/sound of the river out the back. I found The River House inspiring for drawing, reading and simply relaxing. I also enjoyed the record player & took a bike out for an evening ride! Priscilla was very welcoming! If you go into Raleigh I suggest going to JC Raulston Arboretum (botanic garden) too!

Beautiful! Gorgeous! Our go to spot now! It felt like we booked a vacation in heaven. Great for couples with dogs! You will not regret anything about the stay there! (I would say this is more for a romantic getaway with beloved family dogs, than for with kids).
