A quiet, relaxed, self-contained apartment adjacent to the bridge in Cessenon, a one-minute walk from its beach and the crystal clear waters of the River Orb. It's two minutes' walk from village centre with its bars, cafés and shops, and a half-hour drive from the long sandy beaches of the Mediterranean. Within a few metres of hiking routes, mountain bike trails and quiet but stunning roads for cycling and motorcycling, it's the perfect central location to explore the beautiful Languedoc region! Ideally suited to a couple or parents with one or two children, the studio apartment is accessed via the garage on the ground floor of our two-storey house. The semi-enclosed bedroom is spacious and there is a large private bathroom. An expansive, well-lit living and dining area is adjoined by a comprehensively equipped kitchenette and opens out to an extensive, west-facing terrace, ideal for relaxing during the day and for evening dining.

Ons verblijf in de accomodatie van Jane en Stephen was buitengewoon aangenaam! Zowel w.b. de smaakvolle aankleding van de verblijfsruimte als de zonnige, privé-gelegen buitenruimte als de vriendelijke bejegening van Stephen (Jane was deze dagen in Engeland). We zijn vol lof over deze fijne woonplek bij zeer gastvrije verhuurders op een mooie locatie! Dank!!

Great hosts. Wanted to ensure we had a great time. Plenty of recommendations of places to go and visit. Good choice of local eateries and a couple of good bars for coffee or alcohol. The whole experience was incredibly relaxing. Lots of great places close by like Bezier with its old town and Narbonne with its gothic cathedral. If you’re coming in the summer there are also nice beaches not too far or you can do what the locals do and use the river and its banks for picnics and lazing around.
A perfect place to stay in a beautiful location. The apartment is very thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need and is immaculate. Jane and Steve could not have been more helpful and welcoming as hosts and made our stay. Very well located within minutes walk to the village and river, with lots to explore locally, including some very beautiful walks. We can’t recommend it highly enough and will definitely be back.

The apartment is located in a tranquil residential area with a mix of housing and allotments, just a couple of minutes walk across the bridge from the village centre of Cessenon-sur-Orb.
For those arriving by car there is a dedicated parking place at the property. If you're on a motorcycle, you can store it in our secure garage. Same applies if you're on a cycling tour! If you're on foot, the village centre and its amenities are a couple of minutes away and the Grand Randonnée GR787 passes a few metres from our front door. Like a lot of rural locations, public transport is sporadic but there's a twice-daily bus service to Béziers from where trains can transport you across France, Europe and beyond...!

Jane’s a former pharmaceutical consultant and is now an enthusiastic cook, keen gardener and loves her daily cold water swim. Stephen worked in the motorcycle industry and is a total coward when it comes to cold water swimming. He rides motorcycles and bicycles - on and off-road, and very slowly - and fails spectacularly every day to become the jazz/blues pianist he thinks he could've been.
