Charming Spanish style 3 BR/2BA one level home, private gated apt in 5-unit building in the Village/Cove area of La Jolla with spectacular views. Large open dining and living area for enjoying with family & friends. Comfortable bedrooms, hardwood floors, enclosed sunroom, spacious kitchen, laundry room, large outdoor patio with fire pit and detached garage. Walk to La Jolla Village shops, restaurants and galleries or you can enjoy all the amenities of a unique home in the jewel of SoCal! This is a unique and historic property with lots of charm! The home is spacious with lots of areas to relax and take in the views, enjoy conversation or read a book. You'll enter through the gate on the street level and climb 2 sets of stairs to reach the upper-level unit. Enter into the main dining and living room which has a large dining table, a large L shaped couch, TV and huge, picturesque windows showcasing the stunning view of the La Jolla Cove. On one side of the main room, you'll find the spacious kitchen with a small bar and stools. On the other side of the living room is the enclosed sunroom, the perfect spot to have your morning coffee or take in the sunset. There are 2 small steps to climb from the dining room to the living room. Master bed and bath are right off the living room and sunroom and the other 2 bedrooms and bath are just off the kitchen/dining area. Laundry room is just outside the kitchen off the patio, which wraps around to the rest of the patio area that includes a BBQ and large patio table, plus a comfortable seating area to enjoy the fire pit. Everything is cozy and comfortable; you should have everything you need to relax and enjoy your stay after a long day exploring the village and cove.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful La Jolla home! I’m from San Diego, but when family comes to visit from out of town, we like to book airbnbs around town and show them the best of what SD has to offer. This place did not disappoint! I was a little hesitant since it’s a new listing, I usually prefer to stay at places that have a lot of reviews, but it’s such a unique place, it was well worth taking a chance. The VIEW of the ocean is simply AMAZING! The place itself is fully stocked with everything you need to cook meals, play games or relax by the fire pit in the evenings. One thing I was a little unsure about was the parking situation. It states that the garage is small and parking nearby is challenging. My family rented an Escalade, and the workaround the host offered to us was to keep the garage open and just pull our car in halfway and use it like a driveway. This worked out perfectly! Big thanks to Luis and Enrique for all your help throughout our stay!

We are located in one of the most unique and special areas of La Jolla, right above the sea caves! There's so much to experience here just steps from our front door. Only 2 buildings down is the famous Sunny Jim's Sea Cave, a unique adventure walking down the steps located inside the store to reach the sea cave where the waves crash in. So much history to take in, it's not to be missed! You can also venture over to the La Jolla Shores, rent a kayak and make your way to the sea caves by ocean! Just outside the Cave Store you'll find a path that leads you to the Coast Walk Trail, a gorgeous walk that hugs the coastline. Down the hill from the sea caves is the children's pool, which is a little nook in the land that creates a calm area to swim and attracts many sea lions. Next to that is Ellen Browning Scripps Park, a beautiful place to have a picnic and take in the sunset.
Just across the street from our property is a set of stairs that will take you up to Prospect Street. From there you'll find many restaurants in the immediate vicinity as well as much more to explore the farther you venture into the village. Recommendations for restaurants close by would be Eddie V's Prime Seafood, Shiku Sushi, Encanto Cafe and George's at the Cove. A little farther away, but still walking distance we recommend Puesto, Nine-Ten and Catania. There are MANY more top-rated restaurants and shops to explore around La Jolla, there's plenty to keep you busy if you like to explore!
There is one small garage to park in for our unit and parking in close proximity can be challenging, especially during high season. This is the perfect place to stay in if you have one small vehicle or choose to stay without a car and use uber/lyft. You can easily walk to many close attractions, restaurants and shops throughout the village. If you like exploring an area by foot, then this is the place for you! Please be aware that we are located on a somewhat steep hill, and there are steep stairs in the area to reach Prospect Street, to walk down the stairs in the Cave Store to reach the sea caves, and stairs near the cliffs by the Coast Trail Walk.
