it pains me to write this as Delilah is a really nice person but her place is filthy. The floor could use vacuuming and mopping, the kitchen - let's just say that I won't dare cook there or use it.. the bathtub in our room has hair strands all over, the sink was not scrubbed clean..plus the dust - it's just nasty. The sharing bathroom is equally dirty too. my partner wanted to leave the moment we arrived but I just begged him to suck it up as I was too tired to transfer and look for a new hotel. we were supposed to transfer to another room - the one with sharing bathroom (new booking) on the 3rd night but we couldn't stay any more longer.. it was just too warm in her place, it smells funky, and it was really dirty. She offered to reimburse the 3rd night when we left but she didn't really do it. Lost taken. not worth it at all. only positive sides are her personality and location.

Delilah is a sweetheart. She takes care of her guests like no other AirBNB we've been to. She runs her place like a proper B&B with all the amenities of a high end hotel. Her place is perfectly situated on the Lake to see the Aurora, walking distance from Downtown, and Old Town. A couple minute walk from the Snow King Castle. Her cooking is better than any restaurant in Yellowknife. Honestly, Delilah's personality makes the stay feel like home. She makes your experience a 5 star. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. Kid friendly. Our 18 month old fit in perfectly. If you are coming for an Aurora viewing, save your money, rent a car. The tours were a cash grab. You could see clearly in front of Delilah's or take a 30 minute drive to the boat launch at Prelude Lake and get a better experience. We noticed that the Aurora usually starts around 1am but the tours ended at 12:45am. Missing the moment, but catching the Aurora at Delilah's place. We highly recommend booking with her!

But what truly set our stay apart was Delilah's eagerness to immerse us in the local culture. She took us on unforgettable outings, introduced us to her vibrant circle of friends, and even went the extra mile to drop us off at the airport. In summary, staying with Delilah was an enriching and heartwarming experience. Her hospitality, coupled with her genuine care for her guests, made our stay truly unforgettable. Staying with Delilah is more like staying with a slightly chaotic family, in the best way! Students, day care kids, other guests and everyone was so friendly, but Delilah most of all:) The bed was super comfy, you’ll never be cold inside her house, the location is right on the lake, and her breakfast dishes are better than any restaurant!

The location is great and host is friendly. Hearty breakfast. However, Not very clean, dirt on the floor, bathroom garbage not emptied in 2 days and the hand soap in the bathroom was empty my whole stay.
