Camarma de Esteruelas is a small town with a privileged location due to its proximity to the city of Alcalá de Henares, a world heritage city (5 min), Adolfo Suarez Airport (15 min) and the city of Madrid less than 25 min away. by car and just 11 minutes from the Oasiz shopping center.
Declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 1998, just 30 kilometers from the capital, Cervantes' hometown is an ideal place to walk, explore its streets and squares, visit its museums and monuments, eat in one of its good restaurants, Have a coffee or a drink at sunset on one of its terraces and take home some typical sweets as a souvenir, among which are sugared almonds and crustada, which is a meringue, cream and puff pastry cake.

Throughout the year, Gastronomic Days are organized in Alcalá that will allow you to taste typical dishes of Castilian cuisine with culinary nods to the dishes mentioned in “Don Quixote”, such as Duelos and Quebrantos. The Gastronomic Week in February, the popular Tapas Route, or the Cervantes Gastronomic Days held around the festivities commemorating the birth of Miguel de Cervantes, turn Alcalá de Henares into the benchmark for the cuisine of the Golden Age.
Its Holy Week, which has been celebrated since the 16th century, has been declared a Festival of National Tourist Interest and one of the most important events of the year.
