It has a seasonal private outdoor pool, garden, BBQ and beautiful views of the vineyards. The holiday villa is the result of long reconstruction work, in harmony with the construction of the new house. The property results from the combination of 3 smaller plots. Previously there were: an old house, a cellar, fruit trees and areas for animals. The reconstruction began in 2019 and ended in June 2022 and is the result of careful preservation and reconstruction work, always seeking to integrate the history of the place in the construction of the new house! The house still preserves in its closed, and half walls, part of the original walls, made of stone blocks with more than 50cm in diameter! These stones came from the quarry that is very close to the house, 2 minutes away, on the way to Runa. We ourselves participated in removing the stones from the original house, by hand, stones that we can now find in the garden! You can still see the old cellar wall that now resembles a wall, framing the property and giving the space a historic, rustic, unique and private atmosphere! This cellar was used to store and produce homemade wine for 70 years, a very Portuguese tradition! The reuse and reuse of materials is present throughout the space: the stones are also on the stairs leading to the pool and in the flowerbeds spread throughout the garden! This restoration is our tribute to the memory of the villa, its history and its people. The fruit trees have also been preserved: the orange, pear and lemon trees are over 70 years old and you will be able to try their fruits during your stay at the house while admiring them from the pool!
