Hanneke is a lively host who is always available to help and always has plenty of local recommendations. In addition, the guesthouse is something of a rarity, with a mix of Japanese and European decor. It is located in a peaceful area and within walking distance to attractions such as the Tozan Shrine. I personally used the guesthouse as a base to visit all the different attractions in Saga Prefecture. Highly recommended for anyone considering to visit Arita and the greater Saga area by driving.

Eigentlich sind 5 Sterne für diese Unterkunft nicht genug. Wir haben das Tatami-Zimmer für 3 Nächte gebucht. Das Zimmer ist einfach wunderschön und mit sehr viel liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Hanneke ist eine sehr herzliche und extrem bemühte Gastgeberin. Sie hat sich liebevoll um uns gekümmert und war immer hilfsbereit. Wir können uns vorstellen jederzeit zurück zu kommen!

Hanneke is the best part of this Airbnb other than the only beautiful suite. She is so helpful and giving. Cheerful too it is a joy to stay at her place.

4 of us staying at the Tatami room, it’s spacious and tidy! We are very impressed with this premises (combination of traditional Japanese and western building structure) also Hanneke is a very nice host and she show us every corner of the house and explained clearly about the function of the gas heater to keep us warm! Too bad we just spent only one night there and we will definitely pay another visit in near future!
