Altamente recomendable.
House is located at edge of village called Taroniemi. Taroniemi is next to Ylitornio town center (2,5km to center). Border to Sweden is about 1,5km (direct over the river). Road access to border is from Aavasaksa, 4,5km away. Rail tracks run nearby the house. There is train access from Ylitornio, especially in ski season. Trains run on Helsinki-Kolari track. There is no station in Ylitornio so you need to buy tickets online, but the trains will stop anyhow.
Main highway 21 (E8 ) runs through Taroniemi village in South - North direction.
Village is quiet with some houses being totally empty or only 1-2 senior people living there. If you come across someone, it is polite to say "hei". Everyone knows the villagers so most likely they will notice stranger.
Safety is high so don't be nervous if you forgot to lock your car for the night. No-one is going to steal that.
There isn't much public transportation so having own car is recommended. Town center is 2,5km away with good ways for walking and bicycles.
