Friends and families looking for a rural retreat will love this barn conversion, sleeping up to six. Found down a quiet farm lane, the middle of three similar properties, it has access onto a footpath taking you across fields to the stunning South West Coast Path. For those craving a bit more civilisation, Bridport is less than 3 miles away. Inside, the property has been finished to a high standard with traditional features, including wooden floors and doors, blending with a contemporary style. The open-plan kitchen/sitting/dining room is the perfect place to cosy up in front of the wood burner and watch a film after a day exploring the area, while admiring views out through the patio doors. The kitchen has all the modern conveniences of home with the addition of a breakfast bar, ideal for family meals before a big day out. Also on the ground floor is a handy cloakroom. Upstairs you’ll find three bedrooms: a king-size room and a twin room, both enjoying lovely countryside and sea views, plus a single room with trundle bed. All share the tranquil family bathroom. Outside, fire up the BBQ and enjoy an al fresco meal on the terrace. You also have access to shared recreational lawns close by and the property benefits from two dedicated car parking spaces. Nearby are the resorts of Charmouth (5 miles) and Lyme Regis (7.5 miles), which will both delight fossil-hunters visiting the Jurassic Coast. Head to Charmouth’s Heritage Coast Centre where you can learn about the scelidosaurus, a dinosaur who roamed around Charmouth hundreds of millions of years ago. You can also take part in organised fossil hunts and rock pooling tours. Lyme Regis is a bigger resort and has a wide range of restaurants, cafes and shops.
