Also on the first floor, are the five beautifully presented bedrooms, three of which boast luxurious en-suite shower rooms and one of which is accessed via another bedroom - perfect for families. When the sun is shining, step outside to dine alfresco in the enclosed garden while admiring the spectacular backdrop of the hills beyond. Set within the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands, this area is a haven for walkers and cyclists, with fantastic trails and paths winding through the Roaches and the Manifold Valley. For water sports, head to Carsington Water (16.5 miles) for a fun-filled day of paddleboarding, canoeing, kayaking or sailing, or stay on dry land with an afternoon’s fishing. Adrenaline junkies should head straight for the rides at Alton Towers (7 miles), while those in search of a spot of culture should visit Haddon Hall (20.5 miles) or Chatsworth House (23 miles).
