This delightful studio apartment in a stunning barn conversion makes a great base for those who are keen to explore the dramatic landscape of Dartmoor National Park and beyond. Surrounded by gorgeous countryside, it’s easy to sit back, enjoy the tranquillity and forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With plenty of scenic walks from your doorstep, you’ll never get bored, but there is still a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants in historic, market town, Tavistock, which is only 4 miles away. One of two apartments in this conversion, this property is situated on the ground floor. Inside, neutral colours and warm tones have been used throughout to make the whole place seem light, airy and spacious, whilst contemporary furniture allows the most to be made of the space available. At one end of the apartment is the bedroom area which flows directly into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with a small step separating the two. There is one shower room with a heated towel rail. Outside, there is a private patio area with seating to allow guests to soak up the fresh, country air. There is also a large, shared garden with BBQ. Dartmoor is perfect for those who enjoy exploring by foot with places like Lydford Gorge (9 miles) providing particularly stunning walks. There are also opportunities for those who enjoy cycling, with the Devon Cycle Network passing within one mile of the property. For something more historical, the National Trust’s Castle Drogo, a 1920s Art Deco castle, is worth the drive (27 miles) with attractive gardens and grounds to wander around. There are lots of other picturesque towns and villages to explore within the National Park.
