Bring the whole family or friend groups together with lots of room for fun. This Black Hills Basecamp is ready for your next adventure, situated behind Terry Peak Skiing area and just minutes from downtown Deadwood and Lead and a short drive to Spearfish, Sturgis and Rapid City. This retreat house is situated on a private road with open mountain views + seasonal stream in the back you can enjoy with hot tubbing or foosball after a day of activities. Snowmobile trails nearby. Plenty of space to spread out on 3 levels with a sitting/couch area on each level. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms (King + futon room & Queen room) plus a Loft with pull out sofa. Main level boasts a King room and a living room with fireplace, sofa and loveseat plus a grill & seating off the kitchen/dining room. The endless views continue downstairs with massive windows, hot tub access, foosball & many other games, a large sectional, chair and 2 bedrooms (each bedroom with a queen and double bunk beds that can sleep 6 in each bedroom). There is a bathroom next to the bedrooms on all 3 floors for your convenience.

We loved staying here. It was tastefully decorated, plenty of room, and had everything we needed. The big windows and light colors made for a peaceful stay. My husband said, “there is nothing I don’t like about this house”. Would absolutely stay here again if we were in the area.
Beautiful place for a getaway with our family. Loved the atmosphere of the home and surroundings. The drive is a little difficult getting up the hill from rental in snow (we had to call a tow truck) but they were quickly plowed. The kids had fun with the foosball table and games provided. The hot tub was nice after a full day skiing at Terry Peak. The house had three levels of bedrooms which was nice for different families to separate for privacy. Would recommend!
Christa’s house was absolutely beautiful. The house was clean and the surroundings were absolutely beautiful. We had a large group that consisted of 3 generations of family, there was plenty of room to spread out. The house is not far at all from Terry Peak to enjoy some time skiing. Christa went out of her way to offer recommendations for local things to do as well as super quick to respond to questions.
Very clean and spacious. 3 levels and each one was quiet so you weren’t disturbing others in the house. Was worried about parking at first but we were able to get 5 pickups parked with ease. Very easy to find and still close to Terry Peak for skiing. Would absolutely recommend!!
Our family was completely satisfied with our stay at “Take It Easy” Lodge! From the beginning, Christa, was informative, helpful and accommodating while booking! She continued to check in on us during the stay and made us feel so welcome! The cabin was just 1-2 minutes from Terry Peak and the views were to die for! The space was clean and purposeful and she had everything we’d need for our stay.

The large windows look into the backyard forest with views of the Black Hills that go on for miles. This house is on a new private loop with 3 other homes (built in 2023) and no homes “across the street” in the front (your parking area) or behind the house (your viewing area). You will be a few short minutes from Terry Peak ski area and other trails. Nearest grocery is 6 miles away, but on your way to the lodge.
The home is located on a looping road allowing two points of entrance and exit unique to this area that greatly helps during times of heavy snow fall. It has 5+ parking spots available in the driveway and street. There is a paved road until you get to Terry Peak and then the road turns to gravel/asphalt millings for .5 mile to the home. 4-wheel drive is necessary during the winter season. There are also taxi services that will bring you to and from Deadwood.
