The place is definitely convenient for skiing, it's right next to the Shadow Mountain Ski Lift. Meghan at ABL is a pleasure to deal with. BUT .. the place was dirty! The floors haven't been cleaned in who knows how long. Yes, it had clean linen but a ton of dust and as soon as the heater kicks in that dust was all over the place. The windows could not open at all so within 24 hrs there is was no clean air at all. The upstairs bathroom was a total disaster, it had a mixed smell of sewer and chemicals and as soon as you walked in you have an urge to puke. Behind the upstairs bathroom door was dirt left behind - used ear cue tips! The bathroom was also clogged and when I called in to report it speaking with a male person (didn't get their name) as soon as I finished my sentence the person hung up the phone - no good bye, no thank you, no we'll fix it ... i got a txt msg later stating that somebody will show up and they did .. they brought in a plunger but didn't fix the problem.

The view of the town of Aspen and the A1 lift can’t be beat. The condo was clean and had everything the four of us needed. The two bedrooms are almost identical, which worked out for us as two couples. They are back-to-back downstairs and share one small bathroom. The other bathroom is upstairs, so we each took over separate spaces. The key pad to get in is very convenient, although a little finicky! Walking up the big hill and three flights of stairs to get to the unit isn’t really that bad! Easy to get into town and there was actually a bus stop 2 blocks down the road when we came back from Highlands which was super convenient. For our group, the living room and the view were the perfect way to finish each ski day. Thanks for a nice stay.

The host(s) were very responsive throughout our stay and offered helpful information for transportation and village recommendations. The ski on-ski off lift was closed off during our duration there due to the world ski race. The street was also closed off, so it was a lot of walking up and down the hill with equipment. Though it mentions within the description that there are three flights of stairs to get up to the unit, the stairs are pretty steep and it's not an ideal location if you or someone within your group has trouble with hills and stairs. There IS a lift that you can take, however it didn't work half of the time and we ended up having to bring all our skiing equipment and luggage up and down the stairs since it was out of service.
