Enjoy this unique and budget friendly way to stay on Oahu's North Shore! This 300 sq-ft glamping tent with one king bed & a sofa sleeper is nestled on 0.6 acres of land. Experience the sights and sounds of nature while having the comfort of a bed, solar powered lights, tall ceilings & couch! You will be less than half a mile to the closest beach. The mountain views from your tent at sunset are spectacular. Shared outdoor kitchen w/ microwave, airfryer, drinking water, coffee maker, & dishes. This 300 sq-ft tent comes with one king bed, a sofa sleeper that becomes a full sized bed and solar powered string lights. The sofa sleeper is great for a couple of kids, but adults might not find this too comfy. You will stay on a fenced plot of land that is adjacent to rows of banana trees and other tropical plants. There are gorgeous mountain views throughout the day and a picturesque "golden hour". 4 bathrooms are conveniently located on-site, each equipped with a sink, shower, and toilet. The tent is only half a mile to the start of popular Laie Falls Trail, and surrounded by other walking or running routes such as the Gunstock Ranch bike path. While you may prefer the tropical greenery, you also have the option of venturing just 0.4 miles up the road to Hukilau Beach Park. This large stretch of sand is quaint and uncrowded. While you're in the town of Laie, you must make a trip to the Polynesian Cultural Center or adventure further along the North Shore and stop along the most popular spots such as Kahuku Food Trucks, Haleiwa town.
Such a beautiful place. Very private and cozy. So glad we came here. I didn’t realize we wouldn’t be able to charge our phones, so it took some getting use to charging them in the car. But everything worked as it should and was very clean and comfortable and beautiful.
Staying in the tent was a great experience. Comfy bed and blankets and bigger than expected.
It was okay. But I thought it would be a little nicer than it was. The sofa bed was uncomfortable and the interior of the tent had a lot of water/rust damage, which is fine but the feeling of being in a large tent was kinda hyped up. Also, For some reason I felt less safe in the tent and more safe in the cabin across the way. Maybe the fact that a zipper is not a lock. Idk. I think a few updates would make this better. A new, comfortable sofa bed, a nice rug, real plants would make it fresh, and some kind of lock on the tent would spruce it up a bit.
The tent are very nice so our stay should have gone well however, the lighting in our tent was not working and would not connect to the solar charging panel that also had not charged properly on this dismal day. The owners mother tried to help us - mentioned lssues with lighting over weeks and change in property manangers is underway. We could not reach them and not her son the owner. We went back and forth he with the hosts Mom even tried a new string. Nothing lit the tent properly. It was getting dark and we were attending family memorial the following morning. We were distressed, so we called Airbnb to request their support . Airbnb agreed with our photos of the tent and offered us other options nearby. As we were leaving, the owner did finlly call us from Ut. to offer electrival lamps, but it was too late. Airbnb had cancelled the booking and confirmed a new accomodation. Mother of host insisted there were no other "legal airbnb's" The owner then sent me a curt message
Laie is a small town on the North Shore of Oahu. Our campground is just past a residential street heading toward the mountains and about 1/4 mile from Hukilau Beach. .
