自我介绍

English: We are a couple from Sardinia (the Italian island), and we moved in this little corner of paradise in the Seventies, when we inherited this ancient cottage (the basement is from 13th century), that we have restored respecting the magic of the place. Here we live with our two daughters, twenty and thirty years old, we grow our organic crops in 110 acres land, and have our small organic cheese factory. Giovanni takes care of our farm animals (320 sheeps, pigs, chickens, a lot of cats and 6 beautiful dogs), and with the raw organic milk of our sheeps produces different types of delicious cheeses, some of them very special and rare because made using recipes taken by Tuscan traditions lost in the Middle Age. Giovanna knows the secrets of traditional Italian cooking, especially Tuscan and Sardinian recipes, and prepares them using the cereals, the veggies, the cheese and the meat produced by our land. Eight years ago we decided to open our house to guests: Podere Paugnano now is home for those who want to have a peaceful holiday in contact with nature, redescovering the genuine tastes, the authentic atmospheres, the healthy (and tasty) life. Italiano: Siamo una coppia di origine sarda che negli anni Settanta si è trasferita in questo angolo di pradiso, un antico casolare ereditato dai nostri genitori, che abbiamo ristrutturato rispettando tutta la magia del luogo. Qui viviamo con le nostre due figlie, di venti e trent'anni, e portiamo avanti la nostra azienda agricola biologica, seguendo i ritmi della natura. Giovanni si dedica alla cura dei nostri animali (320 pecore di razza sarda, maiali, galline, molti gatti e 6 bellissimi pastori maremmani), e produce con il latte delle nostre pecore formaggi pecorini biologici di vario tipo, anche recuperando prodotti storici della tradizione casearia toscana. Giovanna conosce un'infinità di ricette, soprattutto specialità regionali toscane sarde, e le prepara utlizzando i prodotti ortofrutticoli, i formaggi e le carni dell'azienda. Otto anni fa abbiamo deciso di aprire la nostra casa agli ospiti. È nato così l’Agriturismo Podere Paugnano, per tutti coloro che desiderino trascorrere una vacanza di pace e silenzio a contatto con la natura, nella riscoperta di valori sani, di sapori autentici, di rapporti genuini.
