This was a beautiful property. The view of the lake was incomparable. There were floor to ceiling windows along the entire portion of the house facing the lake (including one side of the house), so we had a fantastic panorama of water all around us. We came on a windy day, so we got to see crashing surf the entire time, and when we opened the windows, that sound was a very nice way to fall asleep. The listing did not mention a grill, but there was a nice grill on the property with an extra propane tank. This house was also well-stocked with dishes and grilling tools, spices, condiments, soaps, paper towels, and even a Danish pastry. :) Also, I think the listing also said that there was no Wi-Fi, but there was indeed a Wi-Fi connection available at the house. It was just a spotty connection. Fine for checking emails, but not good for streaming videos. We had spotty cell phone reception there as well. The cell phones worked well enough to make some calls, but were not reliable in that area, so something to consider when planning your trip. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful. Neighborhood was very serene, as the listing said. This was a relaxing and peaceful place to spend a vacation, particularly during the October timeframe when we visited. Agree that there were quite a few breakable items for a rental house. Our daughter is only 2, so we were able to move some things out of her reach and that took care of any potential issues. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed every minute in this house. Thank you Bridget for making this property available to us!

The pictures don't do this home justice. It is a marvelous home right on the lake and was extremely enjoyable to spend time there. Bridget could not have been more helpful, had some suggestions for restaurants and grocery stores as well as fishing. We had five adults in our group and the purpose of our trip was a Monday night football game at Lambeau Field. Rather than getting several overpriced hotel rooms, this rental allowed us to spread out, cook a few of our own meals, have a fire pit on the beach and play some games all in a beautiful relaxing environment. This was the best lodging I have ever had for a guys trip. While my family is from Wisconsin and I know some tricks of the locals, the Racine Kringles we bought along the way didn't hold a candle to the one Bridget had waiting for us in the fridge, what a thoughtful touch. If you are looking for a great weekend getaway, this is an awesome place.

My friends and I had long planned a Labor Day weekend together but a day before we were to leave, the host (NOT this one!) cancelled on us. Fortunately, this property was available and we were able to secure it with less than 24 hours until our arrival. Bridget could not have been nicer with our situation and with preparing her family's lake home on very short notice. The property is literally on Lake Michigan, with a small beach that includes a fire pit (which we loved). The home is clean and spacious, with a nice kitchen, lots of spreading-out space, three nice bedrooms, and two full baths. There is also a huge lawn -- more than enough for throwing a frisbee or kicking around a soccer ball. There doesn't seem to be a lot in the immediate town but it's well worth the ~15 min drive to the Woodlake Market in nearby Kohler. Oh, and wifi is available -- helpful because cell service is limited (AT&T and T-Mobile nonexistent, Verizon limited). Overall, a great experience.

What a wonderful experience to stay at this lovely home! The pictures and description do not do this place justice- it was much more impressive than we expected! It is situated right on Lake Michigan with a very large backyard, private beach with fire pit, and beautiful views. The house itself has 3 bedrooms, a huge family room/open kitchen area, 2 bathrooms and a game room. There are outdoor bags games and a pool table inside. There are a lot of antiques and breakables so I would not recommend this place for anyone who does not think their children can be careful and respectful of the items in the house. Bridget was so very welcoming and accommodating and sweet. She answered all my questions in a timely manner and was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this house and I hope to go back again some day myself!
