Stayed in “the Hive” and found it spacious and charming. We were there for the eclipse but also enjoyed walking around the property, listening to the trains and visiting the excellent chocolate shop within a short walk. Neat old schoolhouse converted into a bnb. Nice place for a relaxing getaway near Lake Erie.

Its challenging to put into words how much we enjoyed "The Hive" at the Old Lake Lodge! Our suite was beautiful and we immediately felt how much heart the Hosts put into making this place as nice as it is. The building had such a great feel to it and it was really neat to discover all the ways the Hosts had restored and repurposed it. The location was great and an excellent place to stay as there is so much to see and do in any given direction. The Hosts had left some great recommendations as well for dining and local sites to see. In fact, when we ate at the State Street Diner in nearby Conneaut, the owner Mark, talked very highly of our Hosts! As did the proprietors of Peggy Gray's Candy Shop. Overall, a truly wonderful experience and we hope to visit again someday! Many thanks to Our Hosts for not only creating such a neat space, but also for sharing it with us!

The rail line and trains were a bit too distracting. Other than that it was was an awesome place.

This is a wonderful place to stay, the rooms are beautiful. Loved the themed rooms, floors a little creaky, but they are original wood floors. Loved learning the history of the house. Will differently stay here again. LeAnne was a very gracious host, and the house is absolutely gorgeous.

This was the perfect place for my wife and I to get away for a weekend. It is clear that the 2020 restoration of this schoolhouse was a labor of love, and is so much more than just four walls and a roof. It felt like home from the minute we walked in. It was clean, well designed & decorated, and in the right location for what we were doing. The space has everything we needed. Sitting out by the fire pit, watching whitetail deer eat lunch in the meadow nearby, was very peaceful and relaxing. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Lee Anne.
