The check in procedure needs to be improved. Details about checkin were scant and I queried it with novasol and it took them three days to reply and to tell me what I already knew to call this man on this number, but when? The day before? When I am sat outside the property? So I called when I was sat outside the property? Only to find we could not communicate as no English was spoken. I could not communicate that I was sat outside the property and needed to know how to get the keys to get in. I had to give up and contact air bnb who tried their best to help. But ‘reaching’ out to novasol proved to be pointless. In the meanwhile the man I was supposed to contact got his daughter to ring me and after a while we established I was sat outside the property and she said the her dad would be with me in 5 minutes. He was. So all that could have been avoided if checkin details had included that no English is spoken and only to call when you are at the property. Then he would know you are there and waiting. The property itself was fine. Very unusual and historic but perhaps not very practical. There is a nice living area with comfortable sofas, but a giant dining table is placed in front of them so not very comfy, needs a coffee table and side tables etc. The interior courtyard is lovely and we used it most of the time but it lacks any form of comfortable chair. It’s great to have a car parking space in the courtyard but one morning when we rolled the garage door up there was a car parked right across our way out. After a lot of horn blowing a neighbor came and moved it, but he made a big fuss about the fact that there should be a no parking sign on the wall, so that needs addressing. Overall it was ok, the location was right where we wanted to be. The scenery around Padul is lovely and there are so nice restaurants around. If you are reading this make sure you read the other reviews for properties that are managed by novasol. They are terrible, clearly they don’t care at all and I expect this review will recieve on of there four standard replies. I can’t understand what they are doing in the middle of the host and air bnb. I think the owner was the man I met and who showed us around. He was a very sweet and charming man and I don’t know why he isn’t in direct contact with his guests, this isn’t doing him any favours, or for that matter air bnb. I definitely would not book a property again if it was managed by novasol. But I would be happy to deal with the owner and stay there again if the checkin procedure was sorted out better.
