Stephen and Jeannette were extremely responsive and fantastic hosts! The house was beautiful and well maintained. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. Lovely patio and backyard! A very quiet neighborhood with just a short walk to the beach. Stephen provided us with great options on restaurants and things to do in the area as this was our first time to Oak Island.

Typically when we have rented a house at beach they have been OK. Nothing worth complaining about but not perfect. This was better than expected as far as upkeep. Very clean, everywhere, some yard games to play and all the pieces were there. Large open living area was nice. It must have renovated because it was all in like new condition. Next time we go, will look for availability here.

We really enjoyed the stay! It was very kid friendly and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. We loved the back patio and it was incredibly spacious and comfortable. The only downside is that it was a good 16 minute walk from the beach and a 5 minute drive to the beach if you wanted to pay for parking. We went into it planning to walk, but with a baby and all the beach stuff it was a bit more tedious than expected especially since it said it was 2 minutes from the beach. Overall we really enjoyed the stay and would probably book again just based on how nice the house was and the fantastic backyard and patio.

We hadn't been to Oak Island before and didn't know what to expect. Our visit was short, but Stephen gave us great ideas and recommendations on places to go, see and eat -- and we weren't disappointed in any of them! It's a short walk to the beach, but we chose to drive so we could see more of the island after visiting the ocean. As to the house, it was very comfortable and spacious, yet "cozy" -- and very clean. We only needed two beds for the four of us, but it would accommodate many more comfortably. We took advantage of the plentiful games at the house as well, enjoying several round of bocci in the fenced yard. We only needed to reach out once with a question, and Stephen responded immediately with friendly help. We will definitely look at returning to Oak Island, and this place will be our first choice.

First time Airbnb-ers and first time to Oak Island. Our stay was fantastic. The home was beautiful and very clean, just like the pictures. We hope to make a return vacation in the future.
