Great location, still within Taipei City but less hectic even at rush hours. Convenient access to public transportation (bus stops just a few steps from the building; walking distance from jiantan mrt station). Convenience stores beside the building. Breakfast place and coffee shops nearby. The unit itself just needs a repaint, sprucing up of worn-out furniture, and need to do something about the moldy smell.

Great location with walkable distance to Jiantan MRT station and Shilin Night Market right across the street. Bed is comfy and neat, bathroom is clean, kitchenware is provided for simple meals and vast array of TV channels.

I do not recommend this place due to its pricing ($100 per night) and various issues: 1. The small, old space had undisclosed flaws like a discolored bathtub, holes in the bathroom walls, peeling paint, and poor soundproofing, allowing sounds like neighbors coughing to be heard. 2. Basic amenities included scratched cookware, a stained water boiler, bulk shampoo and conditioner, and a lack of hand wash or soap. 3. A sewer smell in the bathroom, as noted in another review. Despite the convenient location and straightforward check-in/out process, I felt dissatisfied after entering. I booked three nights but only stayed for one. I suggest potential guests plan ahead and consider a nearby, more reputable 3-star hotel for a better stay.
