We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful manoir in the charming village of Vascoeuil. Everything about this home evoked the calm and beauty of the Normandy countryside: the lovely setting in a small village, the beauty of this large but welcoming home, the artistic interior design. Our group of two couples loved heating up our takeout food (the local organic takeout shop/restaurant in the village was amazing!) and enjoying country dinners outside in the garden. At times it felt like we were living in an old French film or painting, enjoying long dinners outside a lovely manor house. We found the bedrooms wonderfully appointed and perfect for two couples. We each had a large, very private bedroom with ensuite bath. Our French windows opened onto the gardens below, adding to sleeping in extremely comfortable beds. We originally booked this manoir because of its proximity to nearby Jardin Plume, and we ended up falling in love with this beautiful home and its village.

This house is an absolutely beautiful home on the outside with stunning gardens and surroundings. Located in a gorgeous little French village with walkable restaurant, market, creek, chateau…. In our experience with travelling airbnbs around the world… this would be considered more of a hostel or cottage-vibe than a 5 star space. If you live locally and are looking for a countryside getaway, this is perfect for you. Bring your own towels (the ones left behind were stained and cringy) and possible your own basic amenities. (Scissors, sharp knives, olive oil, tin foil, garbage bags, laundry soap… ) We were travelling from another country, so travelling light and missing these items made the stay a little less comfortable for us. We left two days earlier than we paid for due to the lack of essentials, but Ysabell was kind enough to reimburse us for at least one of the days considering we had to pay for alternate arrangements at another place.

What a beautiful place to stay. Ysabell was a great host and the place had everything needed for a very comfortable and luxurious stay. My wife and 2 year old daughter had a great and relaxing time. It’s a huge place with glorious gardens and the surrounding area in Normandy is exquisite. Thank you for having us and we’ll be back again soon.
