Påvarps Säteri is the house of the "grand farmers" that has owned the farm thoughout the years. It is surrounded by a spacious garden and open fields. Guests should be aware that Påvarp is still an active farm and the cows are your closest neighbours. There is no wifi or TV Please note that we have can provide sheets and towels for additional cost 150 SEK per set. There are Duvets and pillows provided The house is comfortably furnished in a style you could expect in a family farm's house: more modern furniture mixed with great grandmothers old desk and grandpa's old chair (and crazy aunt X's vase that no one dares throw away). The house is located on a farm with only one neighbor, not counting the cows in the stable across the yard. However, guests should be aware that Påvarp is an active farm so during fall, winter and spring there will be tractors driving outside the garden wall, the fields will be worked, there may be hunting in the forest, etc. In short, all the activities that goes on in the countryside. There will be mosquitoes and flies. We have listed the house as child and infant friendly, which it is, but you should be aware that the stairs to the second floor do not have gates and the garden is unfenced. Vi havde et dejligt ophold hos Calle. Virkelig venlig vært. Huset ligger på landet på en gård med kvægdrift. Det havde konsekvensen at der lå rigtigt mange døde fluer i vinduerne og på gulvene. Vi ankom tidligt i april så der var rimeligt koldt i flere rum hvor radiator termostaterne ikke virkede. Bl.a. badeværelset på 2. etage. Lyset i underetagens badeværelse slukker automatisk efter 4 minutter, det var irriterende da man skulle have lommelygte med om aftenen. Men alt i alt var det et dejligt ophold, især med prisen taget i betragtning. Der var endda sengelinned og håndklæder med i prisen.

The house is fantastic! clean, calm and so big! you can easily stay in ten people, tha spaces are big enough for everyone! nearby you will find just grass, animals and the silence! nice stay! We hope to come back shortly! The host is super!

Fem bra sovrum med sköna sängar och bra ytor för umgänge. Bra städat och upplevdes som fräscht trots att det är gammalt och slitet på sina ställen. Några saker drar ner betyget: frysen var avstängd när vi kom och väldigt ofräsch då den ej frostats av innan avstängning. Utemiljö/möbler har stor förbättringspotential.. och en irriterande sak var att lampan i ett av badrummen släcktes efter ett par minuter och inte gick att släcka igen. Värden bra att kommunicera med och försökte fixa det vi rapporterade om.

The surroundings - This is the place for slow living. Påvarp is located in the middle of the swedish countryside, far from traffic and stress. The house is surrounded by open fields and lush forests. You can expect to see a lot of wildlife around the house in the mornings and evenings, especially moose, wildboar and roedeer. There are plenty of forest roads and hikingpaths that you can explore on foot or on mountainbike.
During autumn, winter and early spring the cows are in the stable but during the summer they are out on pastures and the farm is very quiet.

It is possible to bicycle to the nearest town, about 6 km on forest roads.
