We had both houses and they were both very clean, lots of room, beds are comfortable, great showers and water softner makes for lotion free skin. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything one needs.The location is very peacefull and minutes from town. Lisa was very responsive with my few questions. If we make it back out to NS, would definately stay again!

We rented both cottages which was perfect for our family of 8, including two little ones. It was a perfect location for exploring the south shore of Nova Scotia. I would certainly recommend these cottages, particularly if you have a larger group. The views of the lake were beautiful and the fire pit was a great spot to gather for smores. The town of Chester is a beautiful coastal town.

Despite the unfortunate natural disaster that occurred during our trip, Lisa was very responsive and accommodating throughout it all. Her place(s) were beautiful and exactly what we hoped for upon our arrival. It was lovely to wake up to the lake every morning and make s'mores at the fire pit with our littles! While the trip didn't work out as planned, we absolutely enjoyed our stay at Stanford Lake for the time we were able to spend there. Thank you, Lisa!

If you plan to stay here, book the spa early! We saw so much wild life in the water, including a beaver and loons! Kids totally loves swimming of the dock. We had SUP boards delivered to explore the lake. Easy jog into town, and a great running trail close by. So easy to enjoy Chester from this location. Great place!
