We picked this place in thoughts to go to the Bighorn Canyon. Once we researched a little bit more, we didnt leave the ranch. Mark and Brenda's place ia breathtaking and we needed to be nowhere else. They made us feel like family and not just their airbnb guest. This is the place that you are looking for that will stick out from the rest. 1,800 miles from our home, we spent 11 days touring the West (Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Mt Rushmore, etc) I asked my husband what he liked the best and this was his top choice.

Mark & Brenda's place is great. Their house is located on a very remote and beautiful 1000ac ranch with lots to see right on the property. We spent two days just exploring the ranch, from the anticline canyon with stone features dating back over 200m years, to the sagebrush fields, to the "grandmother cottonwood" tree; there really is no place like this. Mark & Brenda were extremely friendly and accommodating, recommending some local flair while we were there (stock dog competition in Basin, WY) and even gave us some of their recently processed beef. Do not miss looking at the stars while you're here. The place is so secluded with almost zero light pollution. We also loved hanging out with the ranch animals -- two dogs and three cats. So glad we stayed here!

We loved our stay with Mark and Brenda. They immediately felt like family to us. Their property is spectacular and as geologists we particularly appreciated the structure and sedimentology of the Sheep Mountain Anticline. This is special place with special people; we will certainly be back. xx

Mark and Brenda are incredible folks and very accommodating. We enjoyed their hospitality. The property is amazing for anyone who loves to get out and explore, hike and climb. The landscape is phenomenal. Mark explains all the history and geology of the land. This was our favorite place out of six places in Wyoming. It was all because of the outdoor experience as well as Mark and Brenda.

The property description suggests allowing for more than an overnight stay and that’s a very good recommendation. My wife and I stayed two nights and that wasn’t sufficient to enjoy all this property has to offer. The lodging itself is small but very pleasant and the host took care to make sure our needs were accommodated. It was completely satisfactory for our needs, particularly since the outdoor setting was constantly drawing us. I’m not a highly experienced AirBnB traveler, but our host Mark bent over backwards to make sure that we were going to enjoy our stay and was in close communication with me up to the date of our arrival – very much more attentive than many other very good hosts. Highly recommended - bring your hiking shoes.
