This place is a hidden gem! Really cool space with everything you need. Love that it’s walking distance from the restaurants and in our case the Hamilton convention center. Would definitely recommend! Thanks for the great stay!!
Beautiful, clean, and fun place to stay for a weekend! Located right in central Hamilton. The Airbnb itself doesn’t have parking, but once you secure a spot, it’s a great spot in a walkable city. The couple were proactive in their communication to help us find the place, even sent a video which was soo helpful. I recommend!
Are you the creative type, a couple or just in need of a change of pace from Toronto?
Friend, you’ve come to the right place. Blind Bellwether is located only an hour from downtown Toronto or 20 minutes from the Hamilton international airport. That means that in no time at all, you or you and a partner can be relaxing in the eclectic and exciting neighborhood of James Street North.
People love this area, and here’s why:
#1 We’re close to local boutique shops: The James North neighbourhood is one of the most sought-after areas in the city of Hamilton. Small business owners with big dreams move here to open shops that range all the way from art galleries to independent clothing stores and indie coffee shops. There’s also Hamilton’s Farmers Market that dates back to the 1800’s you won’t want to miss. If you’re looking to take something unique home or to find a special souvenir, you’ve come to the right place.
#2 We’re spoiled with tons of delicious food choices that are only a quick walk from the front door: The diversity of this area is evident in our restaurants, where every meal can transport you to another part of the world. When you come to stay, we’d love to hear which restaurants you loved the most. Don’t forget to tag us in your culinary adventures.
#3 We have tons of choices when it comes to bars and pubs: Finding your favourite watering hole while you’re here won’t be a problem. There’s also Merit Brewing Company, one of Hamilton’s best breweries with great craft beers and snacks. We also recommend Synonym coffee as a great way to start your day.
#4 We’re super close to the waterfront - Bayfront Park: Don’t forget to get outside and take in the scenery and fresh air. This park is only a short walk from Blind Bellwether.
#5 It’s the perfect place to stay if you’re attending an event: We are located within a short distance of all the major event venues like Bridgeworks, The Spice Factory, Liuna Station, The Convention Centre and First Ontario Centre.
Extra Perk: Our area is safe and very walkable. In the summer, you may even want to bring your bike for touring the city and local parks.
We recommend a car for getting here or taking the GO Train, but once you’re here, you can easily rely on your feet!
When staying at Blind Bellwether, you’ll be within walking distance to West Harbour Go Station, which will take you directly into Toronto if needed. You’ll also be able to walk to a wide range of local cafes and restaurants.
If you prefer to use a ride-share service, Uber and Lyft also have a significant presence in the city.
