Breathe in the fresh air on Wildcat Mountain above the historic Waynesville Golf Course. This stylish studio offers stunning views of the Balsam Mountains and beautiful Mt Lyn Lowry that's especially magical at sunset. Only minutes from downtown but tucked away with a country feel, Mt Serenity is the perfect location to launch your Smoky Mountain adventure ~whether it be the National Park, Blue Ridge Parkway, or any of the nearby golf courses. You may even encounter a wild turkey or some deer! Mt Serenity is a newly renovated basement studio with a private entrance and a large deck that's all yours to enjoy during your stay. Sip some morning coffee on our cozy outdoor furniture, or settle in for golden hour as the sun sets over the Blue Ridge Mountains. At 3200 feet of elevation, you will stay nice and cool with the natural A/C of the fresh mountain air. We're settled into a peaceful neighborhood, with little traffic and noise. Our front and backyard is wooded and you're welcome to meander along our hiking trail that runs along the ridge behind the main house. You will encounter our cat, Serena, as well as our pups, Summit and Willow. If you have allergies or an aversion to either cats or dogs, we’ll miss you, but we wouldn’t recommend booking. The space is quiet and ideal for some reading or work with of all the natural sunlight, but if you're craving some R+R, the blackout shades and comfy queen bed or plush couch are perfect spots for a rest. You'll find local maps and guidebooks for your adventures, high speed WiFi and a smart TV with streaming services. The full bathroom has a brand new walk in shower, equipped with local soaps, toiletries and extra supplies if you've forgotten something. (You can find some extra towels, linens and blankets in the bathroom closet + bedroom closet). The kitchenette includes a large sink, smaller fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kitchenware and all you need for some coffee or tea. (Get a little taste of Waynesville with some ground coffee from one of our favorite local spots!)
