A short drive to the stunning Blue Lagoon at Abereiddy, surf beaches including Newgale & Whitesands and the cathedral city of St Davids. Within the 4 acres of our family smallholding we have a delightful little glamping site. We have 3 beautiful canvas 5m bell tents, so you and your family or friends can get away together and enjoy the whole site to yourselves. Located in the rural heart of St Davids Peninsula you may hear the gentle lowing of distant cattle, the occasional rumble of tractors and the bustle of distant farmyard activity or just a blissful silence broken only by the calling of birds. While there aren’t spectacular walks right from the door we are located perfectly to explore the whole peninsula and Pembrokeshire. There are so many stunning beaches, coves and stretches of coast path to explore as well as St Davids, the smallest city in the UK, just a few miles away. This is the ideal base for all manner of outdoor activities: coastal walking, surfing, paddleboarding, cycling, swimming, crabbing, coasteering and cliff jumping to name but a few. Or simply enjoy time together immersed in nature in this little haven. Each tent sleeps up to 4 people. The tents are layered with matting throughout and extra top rugs for added comfort. They are equipped with a luxuriously comfortable double bed complete with cotton bed linen and feather duvet and pillows. A particular feature of our tents are the double futons, as it makes a world of differnce to have somewhere comfy to sit after a day out exploring the area. These double as a sofa beds each sleeping 2 extra guests if needed, complete with necessary bedding. Each tent has an electric heater for chillier evenings. There are little extras such as boot trays for muddy shoes and towel rails so you don’t have the issue of those soggy camping towels. There are lamps, fairy lights and electric points should you need them, but no Wi-Fi, so fully break from real life if you wish. Outside are 3 picnic tables so that you can enjoy al fresco meals together. The camp kitchen has an electric double hob, toaster, kettle, crockery, basic cookware and small milk fridge (this is not designed to fit all your groceries, just a couple of essentials). There is also a gas BBQ and a fire pit with seating ready to toast marshmallows or bake a potato. There is a flushing toilet, hot shower and wetsuit wash and hanging area. The site itself has been developed by our extended family over the past decade, making it as eco and self sufficient as possible. We grow plenty of veggies and have chickens and bees. At certain times of year we will have produce for sale, but it is totally dependent on seasonal availability. The electricity and hot water are solar powered and we do our best to recycle comprehensively. During your stay please use correct bins and recycling as labelled. A few years ago we planted a small woodland and started a wild flower meadow, which you are welcome to wander around.
