Enjoy the beautiful sierras with the whole family at this stylish mountain chalet. This home is newly furnished and updated with a focus on both comfort and style. Get comfortable in the expansive couch in the family room and watch a movie by the fireplace, or relax under the trees on the back deck with your favorite book. Centrally located close to town. In the summer, Shaver Lake is 5 minutes away and in the winter the ski slopes are 30 minutes away at China Peak Ski Resort. We provide regular coffee and a few coffee makers to choose from (french presses, pour over and a regular coffee pot). There is a gas fireplace and central heat as well. Two sleds are provided in the garage - be sure you stop by any store in town for a snow park permit before heading up to Tamarack or Coyote Snow Parks. The house has beach towels for your use in the summertime. Fresh bed linens and towels are provided for your stay and there is a washer and dryer for your use. The kitchen has everything you need to cook at home, including a 4-burner electric stove/oven, BBQ propane grill, dishwasher, microwave, griddle, pots & pans, baking ware, cooking and eating utensils, olive oil, salt and pepper, plates, cups, wine glasses, bottle and wine openers. The interior has a bedroom on the first floor (accessible by stairs through the front door) with two more bedrooms upstairs. You cannot access the house without the stairs. The back deck has less steps, but that portion of the property can be covered in snow in the winter. We provide plenty of board games, card games, dominoes, etc. for all age levels. We also have two televisions that have all of the subscription services to log into to view what you'd like.

Russell’s listing was a wonderful new find for our family. We had stayed in the Silvertip neighborhood before and enjoyed the serenity. This was a first time booking this house specifically, and it surpassed all expectations! Russell’s place was the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in, well stocked, was peaceful and perfect for our family of five. It felt more like home than a vacation rental. We will definitely be looking into staying here again.
My family and I enjoyed our stay, the snow is beautiful there and the house was perfect for us. Russell was a perfect host and responded quickly to me and allow us to enjoy our vacation a few hours longer was very appreciative. Definitely would stay here again
Our friends and I each booked an Airbnb in the same neighborhood of the same developed houses. It's a cozy circle of houses. It felt very safe and peaceful. It was a 30min drive to China Peak which was wonderful. Russell's house is very well organized, cozy, and flexible. My wife and I each were able to stay in our own rooms and our kids stayed in the bunk rooms. My daughter brought a friend and was also able to stay in the bunk room. There was even room for two more kids! Zero complaints from my kids which says a lot since they usually sleep in their own rooms at home. I would highly recommend staying at Russell's house. Russell is very responsive and amendable. The washer and drier worked great. The kitchen was in great shape and we used it for every meal. The fire is cozy and there is plenty of space to dry ski equipment. Parking was also easy. The couch is comfy and the table area by the kitchen ins spacious allowing everyone to be together - eating, playing cards, etc. Thx!!!!
We enjoyed our stay at Russell’s. Everything exceeded our expectations. His home was beautiful, impeccably clean & well appointed.
We had a great stay. Russell was extremely accommodating and responsive. The cabin was perfect for our family with two young kids. It was clean, organized, had all cookware and utensils that were needed. Also stocked with fun board games and sleds for the snow. Had a great enclosed back patio for the kids to play on and a beautiful common area in front with a swing set which was perfect place to play in the snow. We would highly recommend and stay here again. Thanks again Russell!
