This place was just perfect for my needed solitude. It’s private, quiet (other than the cornucopia of birds!) and just perfectly beautiful. Wi-Fi worked well - I worked remote for a couple days with no problem. Special touches like the bath salts, luxury towels and sheets made the rustic cabin very special. I would absolutely return.

Grateful Living Lodge offers a beautiful location. The two cabins that we stayed in were just as pictured and were very nice, cozy and well-decorated inside. The cabins offer a lot of amenities too (nice teas and soaps). The hosts are very kind and accommodating. They are working hard to revitalize a beautiful facility. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to seeing it in the future.

We loved our stay in the Horny Toad cabin. Vivian and Fred are welcoming, generous hosts who consider their lodging/hospitality journey as a way to make meaningful connections with fellow humans and with the Earth. We shared a lovely meal and good conversation with them. The cabin was just as described, clean and comfortable. Vivian and Fred went out of their way to make sure everything went smoothly during our brief stay. Fred even towed our car after we got it stuck in some soft ground on a steep slope (while we were there they got a load of gravel they are using to improve the driveways to the cabins). The location is wonderful, not hard to get to, but off the beaten path enough to be quiet and peaceful. At night we sat on the porch listening to the crickets and owls and watching the moon and stars. The Grateful Living Lodge is a special place and we hope to return for a longer stay.
