A wonderful stay in beautiful historic castle with a lovely garden. We booked a room in the castle on a whim and we are so happy we stayed there. The castle is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and very attractively furnished. The bed is comfy and the sheets are crisp cotton. The grounds of the castle are well maintained with a delightfully cool pool. Casamassella is just a few minutes from Otranto and other areas of interest. It’s a great base for exploring the region and it’s blissfully peaceful. (We loved swimming at Castro marina and sightseeing in Galatina.) We did not have the opportunity to meet Gabriella, but the castle is staffed by a gracious and kind family. We were well cared for and enjoyed a big, fresh breakfast on the pretty terrace. All in all an excellent stay.
