Amazing place to be. We felt really free and close to the nature. After the one hour hike to the hut, we enjoyed bathing in the creek, warming up at the oven and having a candle light dinner. We recommend Jarles hut.

We had an amazing stay at Jarle’s place. It is like being in your own private forest and the surroundings are beautiful. We were even blessed with some sunshine so the lovely stream was very welcome. The hut was easy to find and the path was very clearly marked, though the climb up is definitely steep! The cabin was well equipped and very cosy. What an amazing place!

What do you do on a very rainy day in Norway ? Well, you book this airbnb mountain cabin which you can only reach by walking up the mountain through quite a steep muddy path marked with blue dots on the stones or trees for 1.5 hours. You cross streams and waterfalls and therefore get pretty wet despite the rain gear, but you can then warm up in the cozy mountain hut (400m above the fjord) and dry by a lovely wood stove and cook your own meal. Early in the morning wash yourself in the ice-cold mountain stream. No electricity (except for a 12VDC light) and luxury, but a fantastically beautiful and impressive experience that we would never have wanted to miss ! Book this cabin if you want to experience the deep Norwegian forest.

Magical location Basic accommodation in remote mountain area ! Big hike up but worth it for the experience. Take your own food and cook on the outdoor fire and swim in the stream !
