Our flight was delayed so we arrived late and surely inconvenienced Dominique but he was waiting at the turn-off to his property with a torch to guide us and was very welcoming. The cottage was wonderful with every comfort you could need and in particular, very comfortable bedding which gave me the best sleeps I've had in a long time. It was just so nice to escape from the rainy London weather for a few days of warmth and the terrace was just so lovely; we ate our croissants and baguettes there - best to go up to the Montagrier Boulangerie for these. You can eat them back at the cottage or sit on the benches at the entrance to Montagrier and enjoy the views of the fields below. Dominique and Shelby gave us many ideas of what to do in the Dordogne area and we made the most of the car we hired. There's a 'river beach' in Lisle 4km away with a roped-off swimming pool and across from this is a great restaurant with on-site trout farm. Dominique kindly booked our table.
