What a great studio! Steve and Lauren have made a beautiful straw bale hideaway in the garden. It’s full of wonderful touches. Mt Vic is a lovely walkable hamlet in close proximity to lots of mountain adventures!

The best accomodation, and most wonderful hosts, in the Blue Mountains. Cockatoo Cottage was tranquil, cosy, and filled with beautiful ammenities that make you feel right at home. Lauren & Steve gave first-class advice and support throughout the trip (particularly about local activities) and even shared wonderful treats from their garden. Cockatoo Cottage is like a warm cup of tea for the soul, with hosts who will help you have the most relaxing getaway of your life!

Such a lovely little cottage for a weekend away. Host and his family were very friendly and accommodating but also gave us space and privacy. Their gardens are so gorgeous and the walks and lookouts in the area are stunning. Such a peaceful location to rest and reset. The unique stairs were entertaining and quite a novelty, although slippery to navigate in socks and wouldn’t be accessible for kids etc. They provided great recommendations in their cottage info book and we were pleased to find out the art in the house is by one of the hosts and we happily purchased some prints to take some of the mountains charm home with us! We had 2 very delicious fine dining experiences at Ateş and Blaq in Blackheath and enjoyed the Blue Mountains Bookstore trail. Highly recommend Cockatoo Cottage and its hosts!
