We feel extraordinarily lucky to have spent a month at the Hilltop Ranch in August of 2023. The home was in every way spectacular and we can't recommend the property, the hosts, and the home itself highly enough. The Ranch is in a wonderful location with breathtaking views – it feels remote and worlds away, but the drive down the road to Santa Rosa is under 10 minutes. You can quickly reach parks, shopping, and even a close by gym. Facing west, the home gets spectacular sunset views every evening, and beautifully designed screens and sliding doors allow you to open the house fully to enjoy the indoor/outdoor space. We loved that the property is high up enough to be in the fog most mornings and we enjoyed watching the fog roll back out each day. The property is also well-placed for Sonoma County wine tasting. Almost equidistant from Sebastopol, Sonoma, and Healdsburg, it made for a perfect home base.

Really beautiful spot but a bit isolated. House was top notch and the 25 meter pool made it a swimmers dream.

The pictures don’t do the house and the views justice. The pictures made the house look amazing, but when we got there our jaws dropped with how beautiful everything was. The kitchen had state of the art appliances and a coffee/cappuccino/ espresso machine that was awesome!! Every morning waking up and having coffee overlooking the entire valley is beyond relaxing. Kyle is on site but invisible unless you needed anything! He was so great with helping us get to the house and then showing us around. My daughters and her friends loved visiting the animals every morning. The house is perfectly set up for a family vacation as well as a couples wine/relaxation vacation. All the bedrooms offer privacy, and the sleep number mattresses had everyone sleeping so well. All of the bathrooms feel like 5 star hotels. It’s hard to really describe how amazing the entire experience was. I think it was a phenomenal price for everything you get with this rental. Thanks Steve and Kyle!!

Wonderful experience. I have rented multiple "houses" for my family over the years but first time I have rented someone's beautiful "home". Steve the owner was always available by text and Kyle the caretaker went above and beyond to not only always be available to assist but to respect our privacy. Amazing home with EVERYTHING, great views, caring owners, great location near wineries, lake hikes, shopping, restaurants, etc. We cancelled our San Francisco day just so we could hike the area and sit by the pool while we cooked dinner on the Traeger smoker and in the gorgeous kitchen. First time I have had ZERO issues and multiple positive surprises/discoveries when I rented. Thank you to Steve & Kyle.

Everything was wonderful! Steve and his wife were excellent hosts and really did their absolute best to make sure the stay was as comfortable as possible. From the amazing view, to the beautiful pool, to the expansive house and all the amenities—everything was top notch. The guidebook was a nice touch that gave us excellent recommendations for things to do, eat, and drink in the nearby area. Kyle also was very helpful in showing us the “how tos” of the house before letting us get settled. We would highly recommend staying at the Hilltop Ranch in Santa Rosa. You won’t be disappointed!
