Quick and easy check in/out, beautiful place for a secluded getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at the Poppa Bear cabin. Itis off the beaten path, and you really feel in touch with nature once you're there. It's about 30 minutes from downtown Prescott. I would recommend a truck or 4-wheel drive to ease the short drive up the mountain itself, but we were able to get a sadan and a crossover up there with little trouble. The cabin is very nice and we felt comfortable. All the comforts are there, including a wonderful fire pit with plenty of wood. This was an ideal get away for me to do some much wanted reading and relaxing. Mike and Betty were responsive and will help you get set up for your stay with ease. I recommend the Poppa Bear cabin.

Thanks, Betty and Mike, for sharing your beautiful cabin and forest with us. We are grateful for the personal touch and for explaining clearly where to find the deer. We saw a couple of them. The location is great, and it's within a mile of many hiking trails. We originally planned to hike Mt. Union, but since trail 284 was closed, we had to turn back midway. My husband did another hike to Spruce Mountain and enjoyed every moment of it. We hope to come back soon to complete the Mount Union trail.
