Our family stayed for Christmas, it was wonderful. We had a fabulous time. There was plenty of space so no one felt on top of each other. Having two kitchens made cooking so easy with extra oven and hob space. It’s a short drive to the local town, we went for a beautiful walk on Boxing Day. We’re talking about coming back in the summer as it’s a stunning location. Can’t recommend enough.

We hired the entire set of cottages for a group of families, 7 adults and 5 children age 5-17. This was a great setup for a family stay over 3 nights. The steadings barn was ideal with two great social spaces. This meant that the kids and adults each had their own space to retire to in evenings. The two other barns were great as places to stay and were within easy reach of the larger barn. The barns were finished to a high standard with multiple kitchen facilities meaning we weren’t short of anything. Plenty of en-suite bathrooms for everyone. Everything was clean and tidy and very welcoming, with a nice gift bag of local coffee, tea and biscuits. The location is ideal for Kielder, a short scenic drive. There was also a nice walk from the venue itself with some small waterfalls. We were able to use the outdoors space for a bit of stargazing on clear evenings. The dark skies are really special. Hosts were happy to answer questions and were proactive in sending details in advance.

Stayed here as a group of 12 attending a wedding nearby. Was a little hard to find in the dark on the windy roads, but once we got there we found the place spotless, spacious and comfortable. Great communal areas in the larger property and it was a relief to find that there was electric vehicle charging at the site that you can access with help from the bar staff. It was just what we needed and a lovely place to stay.
