This was one of the most beautiful places we have ever had the fortune to find on Airbnb. The house, and particularly its breathtaking setting, are actually more beautiful than the photos describe. We rented the house for a family reunion and we had people travelling from London and Los Angeles and ranging in age from 4 to 85... And the only complaint that anyone could make was that we all wanted to stay for longer! This is not your average holiday rental, it is an exquisitely decorated family home where every detail has been considered. The layout of the property (with some bedrooms in the main house and others in the grounds) was absolutely perfect for a large group - it allowed us to be together but also apart which was perfect to meet everyone's needs and differing schedules. We had several meals cooked for us by Francesca which were delicious and such a luxury to not have to go anywhere or do anything! We cannot wait to return - hopefully next summer...

Fantastic place! The house is absolutely perfect for relaxing and enjoying the Italian countryside in idyllic surroundings. We were three families with children from 5 to 8 years old, and ended up just being on the property and the pool area. The house is beautiful and has lots of charm and history so you feel that you are really experiencing the real Italy. The host was super helpful before and during the stay. We hope to come back!

This is an incredibly special place. We celebrated my 70th birthday with family, and everyone loved the house and location. The area is not touristy at all, which was a joy for us. Uberto went out of his way to be helpful with everything. I could not give this spot a higher rating. I hope we get to return some day.

The property was perfect for our family. There was plenty of space and private sleeping quarters. The house was well equipped with all the essentials and the views were breathtaking. The grounds were well maintained and the pool was much enjoyed. Alessandra, Uberto, and Francesca were very helpful and great hosts. Francesca was a wonderful chef and had great local knowledge.

We were fortunate to spend 5 happy weeks at Alessandra’s beautiful country house this summer. Over the time we had different groups of families and friends joining us with ages that ranged from 7-year-old grandchildren and teenagers, through to our 81-year-old granny. We slept in the main house whilst our guests made use of the two annex buildings so we all had plenty of space to relax. The views from the house and pool are draw dropping and its difficult to think of doing anything apart from sitting and admiring them. The house is furnished in a contemporary rustic style with a mix of carefully picked vintage pieces. The annex buildings are particularly stylish and simply curated. The surrounding area despite only being an hour from Rome is very rural and we met no other English people (bliss) and it was a struggle to find English speakers – something else we saw as a benefit. You need a car to be able to access the locality and with it we made regular trips to local towns, into Rome and the surrounding countryside and lakes that are within 50 minutes of the house. The housekeepers (Francesca and Paolo) were really helpful, providing weekly cleaning and bedroom changes, help and advice with shopping and restaurant recommendations (and booking!) as well as Francesca providing us with her special cooking lessons, delicious meals and pizza making. We had a very special summer at Tenuta Colle Sala and a truly memorable Italian experience. We are very grateful to Alessandra, Paolo and Uberto for their generous hospitality and for allowing us to experience their exceptional home.
