Babila Hostel & Bistrot is a unique design hostel in the heart of Milan. The historical building that gives home to it was built in 1896 and had been a catholic school for a long time. The hostel was inaugurated on September 15th 2017 and it is located in the fashion district of Milan, walking distance from San Babila square and subway station, buses and trams. The idea of our design is mixing old and new, traditional and fashionable, to bring past and present closer, keeping the original characteristics of the building with a modern touch. Our rooms are bright and spacious, each of them featuring an ensuite bathroom with shower, equipped with soap and shampoo. Each bed has its own lamp, socket with usb adapter and locker. Towels and bed sheets are provided by us. From the terrace at the third floor it is possible to enjoy the view over the rooftops of Milan. In our Bar & Bistrot area you can try some traditional Italian dishes and our chef Atif’s specialties. Every week we organize events, such as concerts, jam sessions, art exhibitions and multicultural gatherings, so you can enjoy the party with your new friends and with locals from Milan. From the first day we wanted to create a place where it is possible to breath an international atmosphere, where people can get connected through cultural exchanges, and enjoy the pleasure to be together with no barriers. We care about our planet and try to be green as much as possible. We are only one drop in the sea… but we believe that a lot of drops together can make the difference. Based on this, we do not use straws in the bar, bathrooms are equipped with dispensers so to reduce disposable packaging, we put a lot of attention on selective waste collection, we provide a digital map designed by us to avoid paper waste and we choose partners and suppliers who shares our same values and mission. Il Babila Hostel & Bistrot è un ostello dal design unico nel cuore di Milano. L'edificio storico che lo ospita fu costruito nel 1896 ed era precedentemente una scuola cattolica. L'ostello è stato inaugurato il 15 settembre 2017 e si trova nel quartiere della moda di Milano, a pochi passi da Piazza San Babila e dalla stazione della metropolitana, autobus e tram. L'idea alla base del nostro concept è di mescolare innovazione e tradizione, per avvicinare passato e presente, mantenendo le caratteristiche originali dell'edificio con un tocco moderno. Le nostre camere sono luminose e spaziose, ognuna dotata di bagno privato con doccia, dotato di sapone e shampoo. Ogni letto ha la sua lampada, presa con adattatore USB e armadietto. Asciugamani e lenzuola sono forniti da noi gratuitamente. Dalla terrazza al terzo piano è possibile godere della vista sui tetti di Milano. Nella nostra area Bar & Bistrot puoi provare alcuni piatti della tradizione italiana e le specialità del nostro chef Atif. Ogni settimana organizziamo eventi, come concerti, jam session, mostre d'arte e incontri multiculturali. Fin dal primo giorno abbiamo voluto creare un luogo dove respirare un'atmosfera internazionale, dove le persone possano conoscersi attraverso scambi culturali e godere del piacere di stare insieme senza barriere. Abbiamo a cuore il nostro pianeta e cerchiamo di essere il più "green" possibile. Siamo solo una goccia nel mare ... ma crediamo che molte gocce insieme possano fare la differenza. Sulla base di questo, non usiamo cannucce nel bar, i bagni sono dotati di distributori in modo da ridurre l'imballaggio usa e getta, prestiamo molta attenzione alla raccolta differenziata dei rifiuti, forniamo una mappa digitale progettata da noi per evitare gli sprechi di carta e scegliamo partner e fornitori che condividono i nostri stessi valori e la nostra missione.
