We are a family of 5 and this was the highlight of our Tuscany stay. If you are planning a stay in San Gimignano and Filipos place is available- book it! the location is central to the entire town with amazing views to the piazza and Duomo. Filipo was the best host we have met in all our travels. He met and welcomed us, gave us some history of the medieval apartment and gifted us a beautiful bottle of local white wine. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer!

We would stay in Filippo’s place again if only we had the opportunity. It’s a quirky place—a little like your nana’s house mixed with a medieval castle—but it was so great. My son loved sleeping in the tower room. My husband and I took the two twin beds because we found them more comfortable than the queen bed. We highly recommend giving Filippo’s place a try.

We love Philippo. He welcomed us with enthusiasm. He was helpful when we needed something printed. He has pride in his beautiful tower B&B. The heating, blankets and living spaces perfect for our winter stay. The location is amazing and everything needed is in the apartment. His private car park is very helpful. San Gimignano is beautiful. Thanks Philippo. Xx

Magical surroundings. My 13 year old stayed in the tower room. As a fan of Dungeons and Dragons, he was in heaven. The view of the church and square at sunset was surreal. Restaurants nearby. The parking space was a little walk outside the walls of the town, because only locals are allowed with cars inside. However, Filippo helps you drive in to drop off your luggage. (Remember to pay attention to how to get back to your car!) Also be advised that some restaurants and shops appear to be closed in winter and restaurants that were open closed early. Washing machine was handy and Filippo was friendly and helpful. We'll treasure the memory of staying here.
