Thank you for an amazing stay! Location was 10/10 and the house exceeded expectations.
We booked the house for the week of Christmas and it was perfect. Plenty of space for family to be together or enjoying their own space. Plus close to great venues on the peninsula to catch up with visiting friends. Fantastic outdoor space too.
The house is in a lovely, very quiet location and beautifully furnished and presented. The log fire and spa were the favourite parts of our stay and we didn't want to leave.
Somers lies on the south-eastern point of the Mornington Peninsula, where it borders Western Port. The town of Cowes on Phillip Island can be seen from any beach in Somers in most weather conditions. Originally known as Balnarring East, it was renamed after the former Governor of Victoria who set up the local Lord Somers Camp.
Somers has three beaches – South Beach, Somers Beach and the tidal flats of Merricks Creek Inlet. It is also a popular spot for sailing being home to the Somers Yacht Club, walking is also popular with great sealed and unsealed paths to enjoy. Somers is well known for its’ Koala Walk, and it’s not uncommon to see koalas or echidnas in the area.
