A beautiful apartment located in a 19th Century Quinta (farmhouse), we are in the centre of the Portuguese village, Freiria. In the mornings you can pick fruits from our trees. Enjoy fresh coffee & pastries from the cafe across the street. Surrounded by vineyards, there are lots of hiking, biking trails, wineries and beaches all within 20mins. Only 35 mins from LIS airport, this is the perfect place to rest and recharge for a few days and still be close to all that greater Lisbon has to offer! This 2 bedroom apartment is located on the ground floor of a 150 year old Quinta with several original period features, from the geometric floor tiles to the tall ceilings and plasterwork. It is a spacious apartment with a shared courtyard outside, (with other guests) where you can enjoy your morning coffee from.

Super séjour, hôtes très accueillants. Nous y avons passé une bonne nuit. Les hôtes étaient très chaleureux et réactifs. Je recommande vivement ce logement.

we just got to stay one night but the house was great. the place was spotless and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. parking was right outside the door and our host was super nice and made us feel very much at home! there are hiking paths going straight from the village. highly recommend to hike up to the windmill. would have loved to have time to explore this cute little town some more
Myself and my children had a wonderful stay. Lok and her family were so friendly and helpful. The apartment was lovely, spacious and comfortable and it was great being able to look around the quinta which is fascinating. We will definitely be back.

This is the perfect place to rest and recharge for a few days in the country and still be close to all that greater Lisbon has to offer.
The apartment is located within the grounds of a 19th Century Quinta (farmhouse). It is in the centre of a typical quiet Portuguese village with lots of amenities such as a butchers, ATM machine, Cafés and convenience stores all within a minute walk.
Surrounded by vineyards, around the village are plenty of beautiful scenic hiking and biking trails. After some exercise, you can enjoy a cup of coffee and a pastel de nata (Portuguese custard tart) or the region's famous Torres Vedras pastel de feijão (bean tart) at the Cantinho Amarelo cafe opposite the apartment.
We are 20 mins from the towns of Mafra and Torres Vedras.
In Mafra, there is the beautiful Palácio Nacional de Mafra and the kings hunting grounds (Tapada da Mafra). In Torres Vedras, there is the castle and one of Portuguese's most famous carnival that happens in Febraury.
There are many soft sandy beaches to choose from all within a 20 minute drive. (Ericeria, Foz do Lizandro, Foz do Sizandro and Santa Cruz to name a few)
An hour away is Nazaré - famed for the big waves.
And 50 mins away is the beautiful city of Lisbon.
It is necessary to drive to visit surrounding areas as public transport is very limited.
Parking in the village of Freiria is free. There is on street parking but we highly recommend parking by the village church by the square or by the school.

I love all things arts and food related! Especially eating. Graduated from art school in London and had a ceramics business. Moved to HK and continued my ceramics, making tableware and projects for top restaurants and hotels around the world. Took a break when kids came along. Was back in UK and now we are in Portugal where we are based and slowly learning Portugês.
