A beautiful, peaceful and comfortable place. It’s located right on the main road, but because the road isn’t used much, it doesn’t create any problem. Aunty, Uncle and Uday Bhaiya are lovely people. Aunty was so caring, thoughtful and loving. The food served was lip smacking. Loved every bit of our stay there. Thank you so much for hosting us and making us feel so special.

Our stay at Rays & Haze was amazing. What made the whole experience stand out was the outstanding hospitality and warmth of the hosts - the Chhetris. In light of my recent experiences with no-contact remote hosting experiences, this came as a breath of fresh air and reminded me why I love Airbnb. The hosts left no stone unturned to cater for our needs, particularly the kids. The place is just as described - a quaint cottage located in a picturesque and peaceful location. We booked the two suites on the second floor (Gurans & Champs), but as there were no other guests, we had the whole cottage to ourselves. This place is perfect to unwind and relax. Mr. Chhetri was very kind to take us on a quick tour of an organic farm near Chimney and the Dowhill Eco-Park, to which he had a long professional association as an ex-Forest official. His knowledge about the local ecology is outstanding. The wholesome homemade food made by Uday was the proverbial icing on the cake.

Rays and Haze ( the name itself is striking) at Dowhill, Kurseong -- a place very close to my heart, is an impeccably maintained Airbnb accommodation comprising five tastefully furnished rooms and a common lobby with sitting and dining arrangements and a well- appointed kitchenette.The very tasty items served at lunch, dinner and evening snacks were taken care of by one of their relatives-- Mr.Uday.But what we brought back as beautiful memories was the company of the ever smiling elderly couple who welcomed us warmly and ensured that the place we were staying in was home. Mr.and Mrs.Chettri drove us to the foggy and mystic Dowhill forest on a rainy morning.We were taken to the restricted areas by Mr.Chettri as he is a retired high-ranking official of the West Bengal Forest Service.That memory would remain etched as one of the most rare and cherished travel memories till date. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel that we had gone there as guests but were leaving behind family.

Perfect gateway to unwind yourself from the daily hustle and bustle. Feel home away from home with the friendly and like minded host. Beautiful architecture with mountain views from the balcony. Tasty home cooked food at a reasonable price. One more benefit, you get gated parking space. What else, do visit and experience the exquisite nature.
