We stayed for 7 nights, the tiny home was comfortable, fully furnished and had a gorgeous lookout. The host was extremely friendly, provided us with fresh eggs and milk upon arrival, and they were responsive whenever we had a query. Overall, fantastic hosts! Only downfalls (for us) were the tiny home being right beside the hosts house, which was not clearly mentioned in the listing. Secondly, the compostable toilet was not an issue for us, however, the urinal like smell perpetuated throughout the entire home; even before we had used the facilities. Overall, lovely hosts, great location, and fantastic value for money!

Had a brief but superb stay here overnight. Immaculate place. James was really kind and flexible with allowing us to check in early for a wedding up the road. Beautiful location and wish we could have stayed longer just to enjoy the surrounds. Would love to come back again. Great value for money and just what we needed. Thanks so much.

Stayed here as we had a wedding to go to at a nearby estate so it was the perfect location for that. James was lovely and responsive.

Stayed 5 nights. NZ style Tiny House, don't expect lots of space. Essentially it resembles a static caravan. The hosts make this clear in their description. James, the host, is very helpful and accessible (works from home). The kitchen is small but adequate for basic cooking. The hob is a plug-in single plate induction hob, plus a mini-oven and a microwave. There is a TV (free to air service, no satellite) and the wi-fi is good. The compost toilet takes a bit of getting used to but the shower is great. Note, no washing machine but the hosts offered to put in a wash for us, which we did not need to use. There is a launderette (laundromat) just outside Helensville, but we didn't try that. It is on the remote side, no nearby big towns. Auckland is about 40 minutes away if the traffic is flowing freely. Helensville is small but has a good restaurant (the Butcher Baker) which we tried and was very good. There's also a Woolworths supermarket. Very peaceful location, and we'd stay again.
