This lodge has a great location, a rural Lesotho village with some amazing mountain views (and you'll need a sturdy vehicle to get down the road to the lodge). The greatest asset here though is definitely the grounds keeper, Mr Binyane, who constantly went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and told us a bit about local life. Come prepared because there aren't many amenities here and in the winter it can be very cold.

This place is special. We had a rocky start and it is for sure not the most luxury place- but who actually expects that. It is a house with two smaller rooms, one family room and a shared kitchen. Sometimes travelers come by and camp on the premises but it is usually a rather quiet place. The love to the place grows on you. The hostesses are very kind, funny and are always willing to help. It is hard to rate such place. Would I recommend going? Definitely!! We enjoyed the stay very much and wished we would have stayed a little longer.

Die Gastfreundschaft mit der Noma uns begrüßt und betreut hat, war fantastisch. Auf unseren Wunsch hin hat sie uns ein sehr gutes Abendessen gekocht, das wir gemeinsam mit unserem Host bei Kerzenlicht genossen haben. Darüber hinaus haben wir sehr interessante Informationen über Lesotho und das Dorf erfahren. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und liegt optimal als Zwischenstation zwischen Sani-Pass und Clarens. Begeistert hat uns die Stille und der Sternenhimmel, geweckt wird man von den Tieren in der Nachbarschaft. Wir würden sofort wieder bei Norma übernachten, da wir ein sehr authentisches Erlebnis bekommen haben. Empfehlenswert und beeindruckend.

Restez-y au minimum deux nuits ! Noma est une personne adorable. L'auberge est atypique, c'est une expérience inoubliable. Noma projette de créer une librairie/cybercafé alors n'hésitez pas à lui ramener des livres (en anglais), voir même des ordinateurs, si le cœur vous en dit !

Beautiful old farmhouse. Close to Sani pass. We stay there regularly the last 8 years, even with the previous owner.
