Wonderful time the staff were friendly and the room was fantastic! I loved the sauna and the view! Had a fantastic time and can’t wait to visit again.

This was the perfect option for us considering our timing and proximity to Grand Marais. So much best than staying at a chain hotel / or motel. The property is literally feet from the shores of Lake Superior and strategically located for easy access to the many N.Shore rivers. Marshall and Allysa were great on property hosts and were great communicating info. The communal sauna with a roof top deck was an impressive feature. The only downside was that we only spent 1 nite!

Our family of 4 had a lovely stay at Thompsonite Inn. We loved the quiet, quaint, beautiful Superior shoreline! My kiddos had fun exploring the Thompsonite embedded in the shoreline rocks. This place brings out the simple pleasures and joy nature has to offer. We enjoyed being close, but outside the bustling town of Grand Marais. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you!

Great spot! Beautiful area with views of the lake. The sauna was fantastic and well kept. They also had free bike rentals so we used that to bike into downtown Grand Marais! Would highly recommend!
