There is also a fitness club, village shop and a bar/restaurant available to guests. All on one level, the detached lodge is a tastefully styled and comfortable space; it has all the mod-cons, with a well-equipped fitted kitchen with Nespresso coffee machine, two bedrooms (king-size and twin single beds), and two bathrooms - the master bedroom's en-suite has a roll top bath! During the summer months, you'll want the french doors ajar to let the sights and sounds of the open heathland in, or sit on the decked area around the lodge listening out for birdsong and the whistle from the heritage steam train as it meanders through the countryside of Weybourne on its journey between Holt and Sheringham. It's quite a sight to behold as it twists and winds through the glorious countryside, and you're assured to see it if you make good use of the walks and cycle routes peppered around the Park. In the winter months you'll be able to hunker down cosily as the lodge is well-insulated and double glazed, with an electric flame fire. Kelling Heath is a wonderful environment in which you can relax and enjoy a wide range of activities with your family and friends, only a stone's throw from the sandy, Blue Flag beaches of the North Norfolk coast and numerous picturesque Norfolk villages to the east, west and inland. This is a hideaway which ticks all the boxes! Additional Information: Two well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge). Please note: Kelling Holiday Park specifies that Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Braziliero or any cross-breed versions of such are not allowed. The pillows and duvets are synthetic. Children over the age of 4 years old are welcome. The owners will supply some Nespresso pods in the welcome hamper. Should you need more, they can be purchased at Tesco in Sheringham. Please let us know on booking if you have any specific dietary requirements, so these can be accommodated in the hamper. There is an additional charge to use the Fitness Club facilities, such as the gym, sauna and jacuzzi. Please note: Three electric vehicle charging points are accessible on the site, located in the main car park by village square. The chargers can be used and paid for via the app: VendElectric (Smart Solutions). There is CCTV at this property.
Kelling Heath Holiday Park borders expansive heathland and woodland which runs down to the pretty coastal village of Weybourne - about a twenty minute walk, or a short drive, away. Within the Holiday Park you have access to endless woodland walks, cycle routes (cycle hire is available), trim trails, tennis courts (charges payable per hour) and an outdoor swimming pool (open from 25 May until 1 September) and an adventure playground. If you wish to keep up your fitness levels on holiday, there's a gym and a Fitness Club open every day (various day passes are available at an extra cost direct from the site). In the pedestrian village area you will find The Forge and Terrace Restaurant & Bar, which offers a range of food and drinks as well as snooker, pool and television entertainment. Gifts and essential items can be purchased from the Village Shop; opening times vary in the winter months.
Weybourne, a beautiful coastal village made up of flint cottages, is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and straddles the main coast road that runs from Hunstanton through to Cromer. The village is surrounded by fields, woods and heathland, and has a shingle beach which connects to the North Norfolk coastal path. There is a stunning three mile cliff-top walk to the sandy beach at Sheringham. The village has a well-stocked shop, a great pub serving food - The Ship Inn - and a traditional country railway station from where you can catch the Poppy Line steam train on its way between Holt and Sheringham. Weybourne is also home to the famous Muckleburgh Military Collection, which is well worth a visit. The Coasthopper bus service runs through the village throughout the year and will take you to all the coastal villages between Kings Lynn and Cromer. If you fancy an active holiday, you can sea-fish on Weybourne beach, swing the clubs at nearby Sheringham and Cromer golf clubs, or even surf the waves at Cromer - equipment hire and lessons can be booked through the Glide Surf School.
